Job summary

MSS Security is seeking a Full time Security Emergency Officer to join our Blackwater team. This role targets local residents or DIDO candidates who can respond to incidents and maintain a safe environment.

As part of the Emergency Response Team, you will patrol sites, respond to emergencies (medical, fire alarms), and support on-site resolution while delivering professional customer service to residents and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must have full Australian working rights.
• Certificate II in Security Operations.
• Class 1 QLD Security License (Unarmed).
• Class C Manual driver’s licence (QLD).
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (or willing to obtain).
• HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (or willing to obtain).
• HLTAID009 CPR (or willing to obtain).
• OH&S Construction Induction White Card (or willing to obtain).
• Ability to pass a National Police and Criminal history check.
• Ability to pass a full medical and fitness assessment including drug & alcohol screening.
• Must live within a 600 km radius of Blackwater.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols, welfare checks and security escorts.
• Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, fire alarms and other emergencies.
• Monitor site activities, enforce rules and report safety concerns.
• Inspect and maintain emergency equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with residents, contractors and site personnel.

About the Role

MSS Security is looking for Full time - Security Emergency Officers to join our team in Blackwater. This position is for local candidates residing in Blackwater or DIDO candidates.
As part of the Emergency Response Team, you will respond to security and emergency incidents, maintain a safe and secure environment, and support the effective resolution of onsite emergencies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct foot patrols, welfare checks, and security escorts when required.
• Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, fire alarms, first Aid response and other emergency situations.
• Monitor site activities, enforce rules and report incidents and safety concerns.
• Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with residents, contractors, and site personnel while delivering excellent customer service.

• Ability to successfully pass a National Police and Criminal history check
• Ability to successfully pass a Full medical and fitness assessment, including a Drug & Alcohol screening
• Must currently live within a 600 km radius of Blackwater.
