Job summary

MSS Security Pty Ltd is seeking a Full Time Assistant Team Leader to join our mining village site in Dysart. You will help lead the onsite security team to ensure safe, secure and compliant village operations.

The role operates on a 7 on 7 off roster, with FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO within a 600 km radius. A current QLD Security Licence (class 1) and First Aid/CPR are required, along with valid Driver Licence and the ability to pass medical testing.

Qualifications

• Full Australian working rights.
• Current Unrestricted Driver Licence.
• Current QLD Security Licence (class 1 - unarmed, crowd control, monitoring).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Prior security experience required.
• Able to pass a full medical including drug and alcohol test.
• Master license: 41299.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support Village Security Officers with site-based training and pre-starts.
• Coordinate security operations, resource allocation and site procedures.
• Conduct patrols, welfare checks and inspections for a safe village.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid when needed, and complete reports.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders; handle enquiries professionally.
• Provide after-hours support and night shift coverage as required.

About the Role

MSS Security is seeking a Full Time Assistant Team Leader to join our team at mining village site in Dysart. This role requires you to assist in leading and support the onsite security team while ensuring the safe, secure and efficient operation of village security services. This is a 7 on 7 off roster, open to candidates residing in Dysart, FIFO from Brisbane and DIDO residing within a radius of 600 kms.

Duties

• Assist the Team Leader in mentoring and supporting Village Security Officers, including delivering site-based training and daily pre-starts.
• Coordinate security operations, resource allocation and compliance with site procedures, audits and training requirements.
• Conduct patrols, welfare checks and inspections to maintain a safe, secure and compliant village environment.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid where required, and complete accurate reports and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders while responding professionally to enquiries and site issues.
• Provide operational support to site leadership, including after-hours assistance, injury management coordination and night shift coverage as required.
