Job summary

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a Security Coordinator to lead security operations across the Transperth bus and ferry network. You will coordinate deployment of security resources, oversee contractor performance, support projects and maintenance, and guide responses during incidents to ensure safe, reliable travel for customers.

We value strong negotiation, analytical skills, and a commercial mindset to navigate public sector procurement and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating deployment of large-scale security resources and related systems.
• Ability to provide direction in emergency situations.
• Experience in developing and administering contracts.
• Financial modelling skills for contract development and administration.
• Knowledge of procurement policy and procedures in the public sector.
• Experience in facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day security contract operations for the network.
• Manage contractor performance and support security projects and maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance during critical incidents and incident response.
• Help shape future security strategy and assess new technologies.
• Review industry trends and implement innovative safety solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure security outcomes align with operations.
