Job summary

IAG is seeking a Security Architecture Operations & Delivery Manager in Melbourne. You will lead and develop a team of Security Architects, manage operations, governance and service delivery, and partner with senior stakeholders to plan workforce strategy aligning with business priorities.

You will champion continuous improvement and drive long-term capability across the security architecture function. The role focuses on strategic partnerships, governance, risk management and capacity planning

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical, cyber security, technology, or professional services teams in complex organisational environments.
• Strong people leadership with a passion for developing capability, engagement and high-performing teams.
• Experience leading workforce strategy, demand and capacity planning, and operational management in complex tech or security environments.
• Ability to build strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders and align plans to business priorities.

• Oversee operational performance, governance, reporting and service delivery of Security Architecture.
• Partner with delivery leads to develop strategic workforce plans to support business priorities.
• Establish strategic partnerships across technology and business teams; advise on planning, investment and delivery decisions.
• Drive governance, risk management and continuous improvement for operational excellence.
• Support culture, mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to portfolio planning with insights on workforce capability and future demand.
• Evolve the Security Architecture operating model to strengthen capability and stakeholder experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of Security Architects, creating an inclusive, high-performing environment that supports growth, engagement, and long-term capability.
• Oversee the operational performance of the Security Architecture function, ensuring effective planning, prioritisation, workload management, governance forums, reporting, and service delivery.
• Partner with delivery leads and senior stakeholders to develop strategic workforce plans, ensuring the Security Architecture function has the capability and capacity required to support current and future business priorities.
• Establish strategic partnerships across technology and business teams, acting as a trusted advisor to help stakeholders embed security architecture thinking into planning, investment, and delivery decisions.
• Drive governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational excellence and service effectiveness.
• Champion culture, mentoring, and community-building programs that support collaboration, professional development, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to technology and portfolio planning by providing strategic insights on workforce capability, emerging cyber security priorities, operating model considerations, and future demand.
• Drive the long-term evolution of the Security Architecture operating model, identifying opportunities to strengthen capability, improve stakeholder experience, and enhance the value delivered to the organisation.

What You'll Bring

• Experience leading technical, cyber security, technology, or professional services teams in complex organisational environments.
• Strong people leadership skills with a passion for developing capability, fostering engagement, and building high-performing teams.
• Experience leading workforce strategy, demand and capacity planning, and operational management within a complex technology, cyber security, or professional services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and aligning workforce and capability plans to business priorities.
• Understanding of cyber security, technology, architecture, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Experience driving governance, risk management, continuous improvement, and service performance outcomes.
• Experience developing long-term capability, workforce, or succession plans that support future organisational and delivery objectives.
