Palermo in Melbourne's CBD is part of The San Telmo Group, a well-established hospitality group known for premium dining. We are seeking a hospitality professional for a 30+ hour per week role, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Earn $33.85–$67.70 per hour with generous tips and incentives.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months’ hospitality or customer service experience.
• Experience in premium restaurant, Italian, Argentinian or steakhouse-style environment is preferred.
• Strong floor service with three-plate carry, wine knowledge and upselling ability.
• RSA and Year 12 or equivalent, availability to work 30+ hours per week including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own section and delivering polished, attentive service in a fast-paced environment.
• Guiding guests through Palermo’s food and wine, making recommendations and upselling where appropriate.
• Working across floor and bar operations using POS, EFTPOS and reservation systems with the wider team.

Position Available

Monday–Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.62 per hour
Sunday: $40.62 per hour
Public Holidays: $67.70 per hour

We’re looking for someone available to work 30+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where needed

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

Managing your own section and delivering polished, attentive and knowledgeable service in a fast-paced environment

Guiding guests through Palermo’s food and wine offering, confidently making recommendations and identifying opportunities to upsell

Working across floor and bar operations as required, using POS, EFTPOS and reservation systems while working closely with the wider team

What We’re Looking For

At least 18 months’ hospitality or customer service experience, ideally within a premium restaurant, Italian, Argentinian or steakhouse-style environment

Strong floor service skills, including three-plate carry, with previous bar experience, wine knowledge and demonstrated sales or upselling ability highly regarded

A valid RSA, Year 12 or equivalent, and availability to work 30+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
