Job summary

Central Coast Council NSW is seeking a Section Manager Placemaking and Economy to lead a professional team delivering programs that grow the economy and enhance placemaking across the community.

You will build and maintain partnerships with government, industry and community groups to ensure initiatives deliver tangible community benefits in line with the Council's Economic Development Strategy. This is a permanent full-time role with flexible/hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• A degree in Economics, Commerce, Business, Event Management, Urban Planning or related field, or demonstrable place-based strategy experience.
• Experience delivering business development support, placemaking projects, and proven economic benefits to a local community.
• Ability to collaborate with Government, industry and community partners to develop and implement projects.
• Strong analytical reporting skills with ability to translate data into recommendations.
• Experience leading teams and driving customer-focused outcomes.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to a team delivering programs that support economic growth, business development and placemaking.
