Job summary

Randwick City Council seeks two Place Coordinators to deliver the Economic Development Strategy and support vibrant town centres on Sydney's eastern beaches. You will manage placemaking events, build relationships with local businesses and stakeholders, and oversee strategy projects within timeframes and budgets.

The role requires qualifications in place-management or related fields, strong project management skills, and the ability to work autonomously as part of the Vibrancy and Place team.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in place-management, community/arts/economic development, or communications.
• Experience delivering placemaking events and precinct projects within budget and timeframes.
• Strong project management, time management, budgeting, and autonomous working abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with local businesses, Chambers of Commerce and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate placemaking events and activations.
• Manage development and implementation of place strategies aligned to the Economic Development Strategy.
• Build authentic and productive relationships with key external stakeholders including local businesses and community groups.
• Administer procurement processes and coordinate budgets and resources.
