Job summary

Shalom College, Bundaberg (Year 7 – Year 12), invites applications for a Learning Support Teacher. This full-time continuing role commences Term 1, 2027, with a salary range of $86,600 to $147,048 (pending experience) and includes HAT and LT salary scales.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education, enable equitable access and achievement for diverse learners through expert support, collaboration and high-impact teaching.

Qualifications

• Qualified and enthusiastic educators in secondary education.
• Ability to support diverse learners in learning and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on differentiation and adjustments for learning.
• Develop, implement and review ICPs and PLPs for students.
• Identify students needing support using data, consultation and observation.
• Coordinate or contribute to case management with parents, teachers and external agencies; maintain NCCD documentation.
• Build staff capacity through coaching and collaboration with leaders to embed inclusive curriculum.
