Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel Australia is seeking a Sea Logistics Operational Care Supervisor, Value Added Service, to lead operational excellence in export operations, manage carrier relationships, and support customer care teams.

You will drive KPI performance, continuous improvement, and cost control, balancing efficiency with service quality, while empowering your team and delivering reliable, cost-effective service to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in freight forwarding and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with logistics systems, processes, products, and operational workflows.
• Knowledge of market conditions and carrier relationship management.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of financial performance and decision-making.
• Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence: Ensure high-quality shipment management and export service delivery through strong operational control and consistent performance standards.
• Strengthen partnerships: Collaborate closely with Customer Care teams, providing proactive information, solutions, and support that enhance customer satisfaction and service outcomes.
• Deliver solutions: Maintain and strengthen operational carrier relationships while supporting effective shipment execution and operational performance.
• Collaborate internally: Work closely with Customer Care, Systems & Processes, and operational stakeholders to improve productivity and service delivery across the business.
• Achieve business objectives: Monitor operational KPIs, support profitability targets, and ensure timely and accurate cost and revenue management.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and workflows to create leaner, more efficient operations.
• Customer excellence: Support the resolution of claims and disputes while ensuring customers receive reliable and professional service throughout their experience.
