Job summary

SDN Kensington is seeking a passionate Certificate III Educator to join our Nursery Room (0–2 years) on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday). You will build nurturing relationships with children and families and support learning through play-based experiences.

You will meet EYLF and NQS, hold a NSW Working with Children Check and essential First Aid/CPR and safety certificates, and contribute to a collaborative team that values child safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with relevant industry experience desirable.
• Minimum 6–12 months' work experience in an early childhood setting (Nursery preferred).
• NSW Working with Children Check and essential first aid/CPR and safety certificates.
• Knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Responsibilities

• Build nurturing, responsive relationships with children and families.
• Provide responsive care, including meals, sleep, toileting and routines.
• Support learning, development and wellbeing through play-based experiences.
• Assist with observations, documentation and educational programming per EYLF.

We are seeking an Educator (Certificate III) qualified to join our Nursery Room (0–2 years) on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

About The Role

This will include:

• Building nurturing, responsive relationships with children and families
• Providing responsive care, including meals, sleep, toileting and daily routines
• Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through play-based experiences
• Assisting with observations, documentation and educational programming in line with the EYLF
• Creating positive, safe, inclusive and engaging, stimulating age-appropriate learning environments
• Demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach within the room
• Working collaboratively with your team to uphold the National Quality Standards and SDN's Child Safe practices

About You

You will have experience and skills in the following:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with relevant industry experience in early childhood education and care is desirable
• Minimum 6-12 month’s work experience in an early childhood setting ( Nursery experience desired)
• Child protection training and commitment to child safety GECCKO
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Current NSW Working with Children Check, current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and Food safety certificate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills.
• A genuine commitment to child safety and inclusion
