SDN Children's Services is seeking a Diploma-qualified Senior Educator for the SDN Glebe Preschool team. This 12-month full-time Max Term Contract offers above award pay, professional development, discounts, and strong family partnerships in a inclusive, not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III with suitable experience.
• Experience in inclusive early childhood settings with diverse backgrounds and additional needs.
• Strong understanding of EYLF and knowledge of NQS.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and partnerships with families.
• Ability to adapt practice across different age groups.
• Knowledge of child development and ability to create engaging learning experiences.
• Strong communication and teamwork, commitment to child safety.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis.

About The Role

As a Senior Educator in our Preschool Room, you willplay a key role in supporting children's learning, wellbeing and developmental needs withina diverse and inclusive community.

This 12-month full-time contractopportunity is ideal for an experienced Diploma-qualified SeniorEducator who is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences and thrives in environments that celebrate cultural diversity, inclusion and strong family partnerships.

This will include:

• Experienced Certificate III Educators in a similar role are encouraged to apply
• Enjoy 12-month full-time contract with potential to go permanent
• Lead and support engaging, child-led learning experiences that reflect children's interest, strengths and identities.
• Work collaboratively with children, families and educators to build a strong sense of belonging and connection.
• Support children’s physical, emotional and developmental needs including children with special needs.
• Foster inclusive practices that respect and celebrate communities and families from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Observe, document and evaluate children’s learning and development in line with the EYLF and NQS
• Create environments that promote trust, security, flexible routines, and smooth transitions

About You

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Diploma-qualified Senior Educator who thrives in diverse and inclusive early learning environments and is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or experienced Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Educators are encouraged to apply
• Experience working in inclusive early childhood settings that support children from culturally diverse backgrounds and children with additional needs.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and working knowledge of the National Quality Standards (NQS)
• A genuine commitment to inclusive practice and building respectful partnerships with families from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and the ability to adapt practice across different age groups.
• Sound knowledge of child development and the ability to create engaging learning experiences that support children's wellbeing, learning and development.
• Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills with a commitment to child safety
• Child protection training and commitment to child safety
• Current valid NSW Working with Children Check and current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
