Job summary

SDN Kensington is seeking a Senior Educator to support the 3-4 year old room and inspire children's learning through child-led experiences. You will plan and implement quality programs aligned with EYLF and NQS, support educators and foster strong partnerships with children and their families.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with relevant industry experience is desirable.
• Minimum 6-12 months' work experience in a 3-4 year room.
• Child protection training and commitment to child safety GECCKO.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Current NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, and Food safety certificates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills.
• Genuine commitment to child safety and inclusion.

You’ll plan and implement quality programs aligned with the EYLF, support educators and foster strong partnerships with children and their families.

About The Role

This will include:

• Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, promoting engagement and participation
• Drive observation, documentation, and reflective practices to enhance children's learning outcomes
• Create safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environments that support all areas of child development
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and child safety standards, maintaining a strong child-safe culture
• Support daily operations, routines, and wellbeing practices, including guiding children's care and development needs
• Model professionalism, positive behaviours, and strong working relationships across the service
• Mentor and support educators while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
• Lead the delivery, planning, and evaluation of high-quality early learning programs aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards along with the help of a Room Leader or ECT

About You

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with relevant industry experience in early childhood education and care is desirable
