Job summary

SDN Kingsford Centre is seeking a confident and proactive Diploma-qualified Senior Educator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week across five days. The role includes flexible support across rooms, programming support, lunch cover and daily operations, with potential to move to a fixed 3–5 years pre-school room with set shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
• Child protection training and commitment to child safety.
• NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid/ CPR/ Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
• Understanding of development, health, hygiene and nutrition.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork.

Job description

SDN Kingsford centre is looking for a confident and proactive Diploma-qualified Senior Educator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week across five days. Initially, this role will initially provide flexible support across all rooms, including programming support, lunch cover and assistance with daily operations, with the potential to transition into a permanent room which will be the 3-5 years pre-school room with fixed shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Educator who enjoys variety, takes initiative and builds strong relationships across the centre. Working alongside a fun, collaborative and supportive team, you will help deliver high-quality early learning experiences and create safe, inclusive and engaging environments where children and families feel valued, connected and supported.

About The Role

This will include:

• Supporting educators across all age groups with programming, routines, lunch cover and day-to-day room operations
• Planning and delivering engaging learning experiences aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards NQS
• Leading observation, documentation and reflective practice to support children’s learning and development
• Building positive and meaningful relationships with children and families across the centre
• Creating safe, inclusive and stimulating environments that support children’s wellbeing and development
• Supporting children’s daily care needs, routines and participation, including children with additional needs
• Upholding SDN’s child safety, compliance, policies and procedures
• Contributing to a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team culture

About You

You will have experience and skills in the following:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Child protection training and commitment to child safety
• Current NSW Working with Children Check and current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
• Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills with a commitment to child safety
