Job summary

The University of Technology Sydney invites applications for a Technical Systems and Operations Coordinator to oversee core laboratory information management systems and governance across the Faculty of Science.

As part of the Technical Operations and Infrastructure Team, you will drive system improvements, coordinate cross-unit projects with Property, and ensure efficient, compliant operations in laboratories.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams with consistent standards and morale.
• Proven ability to develop, use and coordinate computer systems.
• Experience governing laboratories and Technical Services compliance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, adapting to change.
• Demonstrated skill in resolving technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Identify system gaps, ensure workflow compliance, manage software updates with vendors.
• Coordinate infrastructure projects across the faculty with regular project-impact updates.
• Manage day-to-day lab operations, equipment maintenance, alarms, and SOPs.
• Oversee admin tasks such as security access and fleet records.
• Support the Technical Services Manager with HR tasks and staff development.
