UNSW Medicine & Health seeks a Laboratory Manager to oversee operations of world-class laboratory facilities across on-campus and UNSW-managed sites. The role ensures safe, efficient and compliant operation, providing expert technical and logistical support to researchers.

Reporting to the Research Infrastructure Manager, you will supervise lab operations, equipment maintenance and system improvements, while coordinating training and access to facilities for ongoing high-quality research

Qualifications

• Minimum tertiary qualification in a scientific or related discipline.
• Experience managing PC2 and PC3 laboratories is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage operations and provide expert technical and logistical advice.
• Ability to review and advise on policies, procedures and safety guidelines for labs.
• Demonstrated skill in staff training and safe use of laboratory equipment.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and maintain research infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, laboratory practice and WHS requirements.
• Coordinate training, access to facilities and service delivery improvements.
• Provide expert advice on infrastructure, equipment and enterprise projects.
