Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a full-time Science Laboratory Assistant to support practical science programs from Years 7–12. The role includes preparing experiments, managing chemical safety, and assisting with stocktakes and risk assessments.

You will work closely with teachers and students, ensuring laboratories and equipment are safe and well-organised, with responsibilities across multiple labs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare practical science activities for Years 7-10 and Stage 6 curriculums.
• Maintain chemical inventories, safety documentation and risk assessments.
• Support administration in the office, sick bay, library and labs.
• Assist with stocktakes and audits of chemicals and safety equipment.
• Liaise with teachers and students to support programs.
