The Role

The Rise Up program is a part of the BHP Pilbara Education Partnership and is a whole-school initiative designed to support all students at Newman SHS in achieving personal growth and success. Designed to add value to school core business and based on a framework of tiers of opportunity, the program encourages students to "rise up" in key areas such as attendance, academic achievement, leadership, mentoring, and community engagement.

This outstanding program promotes student achievement and wellbeing by providing all students across Years 7 to 12 extended opportunities to positively engage with their school and community and to celebrate success.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to assist with administrative processes and provision of information to students, staff and parents, ensuring a responsive and effective student support service. Additionally, responsibilities also include assisting with the implementation of a range of school attendance strategies whilst keeping accurate and up to date records. Your role will includethe updating of student data tracking and assisting the Rise Up Coordinator with implementation of incentive programs.

Additionally, the successful applicant will assist in supporting programs for individuals and/or groups of students. You will also have the opportunity to establish and maintain communication and liaison networks within the school community and with other key stakeholders. We highly value applicants with strong communication skills, data entry and MS Office application skills.
