Job summary

Tom Price Senior High School (a Department of Education, WA school) is seeking a Program Coordinator – Student Services to provide strategic leadership of MTSS and student wellbeing across all year levels. The Role

As the Program Coordinator – Student Services, you will provide strategic leadership of the school's Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), driving a coordinated and evidence‑informed approach to improving student wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, engagement and achievement. You will lead whole‑school prevention, intervention and support strategies that ensure students are connected, engaged and able to thrive.

You will oversee the operation of the Student Services Centre and lead a small team to deliver high‑quality support across all year levels. Working collaboratively with staff, families, Department of Education services and external agencies, you will coordinate responses to student wellbeing, mental health, behaviour, engagement and transition needs.

A key focus of the role is leading the school's attendance improvement agenda through proactive engagement, strong relationships with students and families, effective case management and data‑informed decision making. You will also lead the implementation of a consistent, restorative and relationship‑based approach to student behaviour and wellbeing, building staff capacity to create safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments.

The role includes coordinating wellbeing initiatives, transition programs, student leadership opportunities and targeted interventions for students requiring additional support. Through strategic leadership, collaboration and strong systems, you will ensure effective case management, continuity of support and improved outcomes for all students.

• Display a strong commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and culturally responsive school culture where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed.
• Be highly culturally responsive, with the ability to build strong partnerships with Aboriginal students, families and communities, and embed culturally safe and inclusive practices that strengthen student engagement, belonging and success.
• Have a strong understanding of MTSS and experience leading initiatives that improve student attendance, wellbeing, behaviour, engagement and achievement through targeted interventions and whole‑school wellbeing programs.
• Display ability to build authentic relationships with students, families and staff, using proactive and preventative approaches to promote belonging, engagement, regular attendance and positive outcomes.
• Display exceptional interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills, working effectively with staff, families, allied professionals and external agencies, while building the capacity of others through coaching, mentoring and professional support.
• Be trauma‑informed, emotionally intelligent and skilled in managing complex situations calmly and professionally, while leading restorative and relationship‑based approaches to student support.
• Be highly organised, with experience in complex case management, maintaining accurate and confidential records, and a sound understanding of legislative and policy requirements relating to duty of care, mandatory reporting, information sharing and record keeping.
• Be a visible, approachable and reflective leader who uses student, school and system data to inform decision‑making, evaluate the effectiveness of wellbeing and support initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in student outcomes.
