Job summary

Queensland Department of Education – Wide Bay QLD is seeking a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join Coolum State High School and support effective delivery of HR services.

You will oversee HR administration, provide practical advice to staff and leadership, and ensure processes are efficient, accurate and compliant with departmental policies and legislation. The role is Temporary Part-Time (0.38FTE), 28 hours per fortnight.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating HR administration and records management.
• Knowledge of relevant HR legislation, Awards and certified agreements.
• Ability to provide practical HR advice to staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR administration, ensuring accurate records and compliant processes.
• Advise school leadership on HR matters, employment conditions and legislation.
• Manage recruitment, workforce planning, and staff leave.
• Analyse workforce data and prepare reports for planning and performance.
• Monitor SBS annual profile and usage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Manager to address HR issues and improve processes.
• Research contemporary HR practices and recommend workforce initiatives.
