Queensland Department of Education – Coolum QLD is seeking a capable Human Resources Coordinator for Coolum State High School. You will manage HR administration, support school leadership on HR matters, and oversee recruitment, workforce planning and related processes.

Based at Coolum State High School, the role offers an opportunity to optimise workforce efficiency, analyse data for planning and collaborate with the school leadership to enhance HR services and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee HR administration processes, ensuring accurate records, efficient service delivery and compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
• Provide advice and support to school leadership and staff on HR matters, including employment conditions, entitlements, Awards, Certified Agreements and relevant legislation.
• Manage and monitor recruitment, workforce planning, staff leave and other employment-related processes.
• Analyse workforce data and prepare reports to support strategic planning, performance management and workforce decision-making.
• Monitor SBS annual profile, credits and usage, identifying potential efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Business Manager and leadership team to address HR issues, implement approved changes and improve administrative processes.
• Research contemporary HR practices and recommend initiatives that enhance workforce management and the overall effectiveness of HR services.

Coolum State High School is a co-educational school which was established in 1985 and has grown steadily to the current enrolment of approximately1618students.

The school is located in the Sunshine Coast Region midway between the Maroochy and Noosa Rivers. It is situated 3 kilometres north of the Coolum Beach township in an idyllic setting, bordered on three sides by national park and is in close proximity to the beach. The school enrolment catchment includes not only the Coolum Beach community but south to Marcoola, north to Marcus Beach and the communities west to Yandina Creek and Verrierdale.

Your opportunity:

• Oversee and coordinate human resource administration processes and procedures to provide an effective and efficient human resources service for the school
• Provide operational advice and support to the school on a diverse range of human resource management issues, legislation and administration

• Monitor the school's School Budget Solution (SBS) annual profile, credits and usage, identifying potential efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Business Manager and leadership team to address HR issues, implement approved changes and improve administrative processes.
• Research contemporary HR practices and recommend initiatives that enhance workforce management and the overall effectiveness of HR services.
