Department of Education Victoria is seeking a part-time facilities coordinator (0.6 FTE) for the Bentleigh South Eastern Region. The role focuses on site maintenance, safety, and coordinating external contractors while supporting a school community that includes students with autism.

The position requires managing multiple sub-schools on campus, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with OH&S guidelines. A heavy vehicle licence and Working with Children checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated organisational skills to coordinate a large complex site.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities when working with contractors, staff and families.
• Ability to coordinate contractors safely under OH&S guidelines.
• Proficient use of a variety of grounds and maintenance tools.
• Confidence working in a setting with students who have autism.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair school facilities to a high standard, including essential services and safety systems.
• Coordinate contractors on site and manage service requests from staff.
• Liaise with external suppliers and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Oversee grounds, gardens and swimming pool maintenance including log books.
• Provide timely risk assessments and maintain records of works.
