Job summary

Max Stocks is seeking a motivated, experienced full-time Sales Representative to join the Cairns team. You will manage existing customers and actively pursue new business to grow the footprint in the region.

Key competencies include sales experience in food/FMCG, strong commercial judgement, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills. A current C-class Queensland driver’s licence is required, with IT proficiency including MS Office.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced full-time Sales Representative to join our Cairns team. Forming a key part of our Sales Team, you will play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives through proactive management of existing customer relationships whilst actively seeking new business opportunities to grow our footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve KPI’s through servicing and maintaining an existing customer base, while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Present and promote Max Stocks outstanding portfolio of products and special offers.
• Build strong customer relationships, including taking orders and resolving enquiries and issues.
• Stay informed about industry trends and foster a reputation for excellence.
• Work positively and co-operatively as part of a geographically dispersed sales team, and with other key internal stakeholders including customer service and accounts departments.

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a sales capacity within the food or FMCG industries.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to negotiate and secure profitable sales.
• A positive attitude, great work ethic, and a friendly yet professional approach.
• Strong self-motivation with the ability to effectively manage your time and work autonomously.
• A current C-class Queensland drivers’ licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in IT applications including Microsoft Office.
• Professional self-presentation.
• A passion for food and the food service industry.
