Job summary

Max Stocks in Cairns is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Storeperson to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves picking and packing orders, loading goods for delivery, and maintaining accurate paperwork in a cold and dry storage environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, mornings from 4:00am to 12:30pm, within a friendly, family-owned business that values reliability, teamwork and safe manual handling. Prior warehouse experience in food service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in cold environments (−25°C)
• Previous experience in warehouse/transport operations, preferably in food service
• Good organisational, communication and time-management skills
• Motivated, flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive can-do attitude
• Able to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Great attention to detail and ability to learn a broad range of products
• Understanding of WHS and HACCP requirements
• Physically fit and able to undertake lifting/manual handling tasks

About the Role

Max Stocks is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Storeperson to join our Cairns warehouse team on a full-time basis. Working Monday to Friday, this position is rostered on the morning shift from 4:00am to 12:30pm, with 40 standard working hours per week. This role is all about getting our customer orders ready safely, accurately and with care. You’ll work as part of a well-oiled team, picking and packing across our freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure our customers get the products they order, every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick/pack orders accurately and efficiently
• Assist in the safe loading of goods into vehicles for delivery
• Correctly present paperwork in line with procedures

• General warehouse duties in a dry and cold store environment

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience and understanding of warehouse and transport operations, preferably in the food service industry
