Job summary

United Rentals Australia/New Zealand in Condell Park, NSW, is hiring for a field role delivering, installing, inspecting and removing trench safety and propping systems at customer sites across civil construction. You will read and interpret installation drawings, ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand Standards, and maintain high safety and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely install, modify and remove trench shields, trench boxes, hydraulic shoring, slide rail systems, sheet piling support systems and associated propping equipment.
• Ensure equipment is installed in line with relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards and within product design criteria.
• Assist in reading and interpreting installation drawings, engineered plans and site instructions.
• Conduct pre-installation inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
• Assist with loading, unloading and securing equipment for transport.
• Ensure all installations are completed in accordance with company procedures, engineering specifications and legislative requirements.
• Carry out demobilisation and recovery of equipment from customer sites safely and efficiently.
• Identify damaged, non-compliant or defective equipment and report accordingly; notify supervisor of discrepancies in paperwork or equipment.
• Complete Equipment Receipt Dockets and/or Installation Dockets as required and ensure correct quantities of equipment are loaded/unloaded as per paperwork.

About the Role

This position located at Condell Park, NSW involves safely delivering, installing, inspecting, adjusting, and removing trench safety and propping systems at customer sites across civil construction, infrastructure, and utilities. The role ensures all work complies with engineering specifications, company procedures, and safety legislation while maintaining excellent customer service.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience working within the construction, civil, infrastructure or equipment rental industry.
• Experience installing or working with trench safety, shoring or propping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
