Job summary

JD Ross Energy is seeking a results-driven Sales & Origination Manager to drive growth in Australia's environmental commodities markets, including renewables, carbon and related environmental products.

You will identify, originate and execute bespoke commercial and trading solutions, expand the client base, and own the end-to-end sales cycle within a dynamic, entrepreneurial, internationally integrated team based in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within sales, trading, business development or account management in environmental commodities, renewable energy, carbon markets or broader energy markets.
• Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities and grow revenue.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach.

About the Role

• Identify, originate and execute innovative commercial and trading solutions tailored to the needs of counterparties across the environmental commodities market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
• Expand the customer portfolio by identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across renewable energy, carbon and environmental markets.
• Take ownership of the full sales and origination cycle, from lead generation and opportunity qualification through to transaction execution and account growth.
• Represent the business across the Australian renewable energy and environmental commodities sector, building a strong market presence and industry network.

About You

• Proven experience within sales, trading, business development or account management, ideally within environmental commodities, renewable energy, carbon markets or broader energy markets.
• Strong understanding of the Australian energy landscape, with exposure to utilities, renewable energy, carbon markets and/or energy efficiency schemes.
• Demonstrated success in originating commercial opportunities, building client relationships and delivering revenue growth.
• Commercially driven with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify market opportunities and develop tailored solutions.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and customer‑focused approach.
