Job description

Sales Operations Analyst, AWS Enterprise Support Strategy & Operations (ESSO)

AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) is building toward a future where every business innovates with Amazon AI teammates. To get there, we build AI solutions that improve human capabilities and transform entire business functions. We create end-to-end products that surprise and delight out-of-the-box, making complex things easy and hard things possible, with no cloud experience required. We start with customers who embrace the future and build bridges to meet the rest where they are. We pursue ambitious opportunities with conviction, and we are looking for builders who share that mindset.

AWS Enterprise Support Strategy & Operations (ESSO) is looking for a smart, experienced, and self-directed Sales Operations Analyst with a background working with sales and field organizations to provide visibility, insights, and operations which enable leaders to drive business performance, answer critical questions for decision making, run their business, and plan for the future. This position will be part of the team that leads Strategy and Operations for Strategic Industries and EMEA Business Development and Technical Account Manager field delivery teams.

The candidate in this position will play a foundational role in supporting the stakeholder business' strategy and operations through data analysis and operational reporting. The Sales Operations Analyst will focus on core operational activities including standard reporting, data analysis, and owning day-to-day inspection and execution of operational processes. The analyst will generate and maintain regular cadenced reports including weekly, monthly, and quarterly business metrics for leadership. A critical aspect of the role involves conducting deep dives into business data to answer specific questions that enable Sales Operations Leads and sales leaders to make informed strategic decisions, as well as contributing to rhythm of business activities such as Monthly Business Reviews, quarterly/annual planning cycles, and ad-hoc reporting requests. Other operational responsibilities could include but not be limited to territory management, headcount allocation and planning support, and goal setting, and support in developing and executing the operational strategy. This role has significant opportunity for learning and growth and has the potential for broad exposure across strategy and operations leadership and functional partners.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong business and financial acumen, broad technical skills (e.g., SQL, Excel, and leveraging AI toolsets), strong analytical and critical thinking skills, have sales and marketing expertise, and must be very comfortable diving deep into data. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to "roll up their sleeves." The candidate will need to be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. The candidate must communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams, be a strong collaborator and partner, and work with stakeholders and peers to define requirements and drive delivery of analytical projects end to end.

  • Conduct analysis and deep dives to support Business Development and Delivery team strategy planning and key decision making.
  • Support regular inspection of sales pipeline pipeline health and forecasting reviews
  • Own the day-to-day execution of selected key field operational activities such as territory management, headcount allocation, and goal setting.
  • Leverage AWS GenAI capabilities to scale and augment insights enablement to improve visibility and productivity across multiple user personas through AI apps and agents
  • Own or contribute to various analytical and building projects such as building a global pipeline management mechanism, refining forecasting models and methodologies, and refining reporting and management systems for a new more complex delivery model and stakeholder organization structure
