Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a Sales Manager – Applied to lead our regional Applied sales team in NSW, focusing on chilled water solutions. The role requires driving revenue through channel partners and engineers, with up to 30% travel to regional sites and overseas factory visits.

The successful candidate will manage Account Managers, provide technical and sales support for Daikin’s Chilled Water products, and ensure project outcomes align with company strategies while delivering exceptional

Qualifications

• HVAC experience with chilled water systems.
• Minimum 5 years in HVAC industry.
• Minimum 2 years in people management.
• Bachelor or trade qualification in a relevant field.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Account Managers and Internal Technical Sales Support.
• Monitor sales performance to meet budgets.
• Engage with Contractors and Consulting engineers.
• Provide technical and sales support for Chilled Water products and software applications.
• Support Applied account managers to ensure fit-for-purpose chilled water systems.
• Follow up on queries from Consultants and Contractors; escalate as needed.
• Coach and mentor the sales team to improve win rates.
• Prepare monthly reports on sales programs and quarterly objectives.

About The Role

We are a global leader in air conditioning, seeking a sale focused, attention to detail and passionate Sales Manager – Applied to join our dynamic team at Daikin Australia to shape the future of our Applied Business.

This amazing opportunity is now available to be based in Warwick Farm, NSW with the responsibility manage & develop Applied sales team within the region to achieve sales results and company strategies. There will be an expectation requirement for travel into regional areas, Tasmania, NSW and potentially overseas factory, estimating up to 30% of the time.

The role will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Manage a team of Account Managers and Internal Technical Sales Support
• Monitor sales performances to meet budget requirements
• Actively participate in major dealings with Contractors and Consulting engineers
• Provide technical and sales support to the Account Managers on the range of Chilled Water products and software applications.
• Provide technical assistance to Applied account managers to ensure that the Chilled Water system specified is fit for the purpose – contractual liability.
• Follow up on any outstanding queries from Consultants and Contractors. Act as a point of escalation for the Applied Account Management Team
• Coach and mentor the Applied Account Management team to ensure continual success in increase of the win/loss tender ratio
• Monthly reports on all sales programs and objectives for the quarter

About You

• Ability to work in constant pressure and challenge

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC industry experience with Chilled Water System
• Minimum 2 years of people management experience, leading a sales team
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering and/or Trade experience in Chillers
• Previous demonstrated project management skills
• Previous demonstrated leadership management skills
