Job summary

Sumitomo (SHI) Hansen Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Sales - Internal Support to assist the Sales and Operations teams. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, handling quotations, and coordinating orders to meet customer expectations.

You will maintain CRM/ERP data and support multiple accounts with a solutions-focused approach. The ideal candidate has strong technical understanding of power transmission products, five years in sales support or customer service,

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude for power transmission products.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in sales support or customer service roles.
• Experience in data entry, manufacturing or administration support role.
• Experience coordinating quotations, orders and customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact between customers, sales team, suppliers and production providing professional, responsive, and solutions-focused support.
• Prepare and coordinate quotations, correspondence, and other sales support tasks as required.
• Assist the Sales team with account/client requests & job requirements.
• Respond to customer calls, emails, pricing and delivery enquiries, product questions, general support requests, and order-related enquiries
• Create and maintain accurate information within the CRM and ERP systems through each stage of the sales and order process.
• Processing and coordinating customer orders from receipt through to delivery.

Job description

We are looking for a Sales - Internal Support personfor our Sydney based branch. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to support the Sales and Operations teams. This is a pivotal role in managing our customer expectation. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering outstanding customer service and driving operational goals, together with a strong understanding of power transmissions and its industrial applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Ability to understand technical documents, drawings, BOM’s & customer requests.
• Strong technical aptitude for power transmission products.
• Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of pricing, margins, and customer agreements.
• A high level of self-motivation, initiative, and proactivity.
• Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and solving issues in a timely manner.
• Highly skilled on computers and with general technology.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
• Strong technical aptitude for power transmission products, with at least five (5) years of experience in the rotary equipment industry
• Experience in data entry, manufacturing or administration support role
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in sales support or customer service roles
