Job summary

Hygrade Laser Profiling in Condell Park, NSW seeks a skilled Sales Estimator to join our team. You will analyse customer requirements, prepare quotes and cost estimates, and support the sales team to win profitable bids.

You'll work closely with production to align lead times and manufacturing capabilities, review costs, and maintain pricing records to ensure competitive yet sustainable margins in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sales Estimator or Quotations Coordinator in manufacturing or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, laser profiling techniques, and production timelines.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and customers.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to produce accurate estimates under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations and proposals for laser profiling services and related manufacturing work.
• Collaborate with the production team to understand lead times, resource allocation and manufacturing capabilities.

• Liaise with customers to clarify specifications and discuss technical requirements.
• Maintain records of quotations, estimates and historical pricing data.
• Support the sales team by providing timely estimates to progress opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to optimise costs and improve margins while maintaining quality.

Hygrade Laser Profiling is seeking a Sales Estimator to join our team in Condell Park, NSW on a full-time basis. This is a critical role that bridges our sales and operations functions, playing a key part in winning business and ensuring project profitability. As Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing customer requirements, preparing accurate quotes and cost estimates, and supporting our sales team to deliver competitive bids that drive revenue growth. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining our reputation for precision and reliability in the manufacturing and laser profiling industry.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer specifications and technical drawings to determine project scope and material requirements
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, quotations and proposals for laser profiling services and related manufacturing work
• Collaborate with the production team to understand lead times, resource allocation and manufacturing capabilities
• Review and validate production costs, labour requirements and material expenses to ensure competitive yet profitable quotes
• Liaise with customers to clarify specifications, discuss technical requirements and address estimation queries
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quotations, estimates and historical pricing data for future reference
• Support the sales team by providing timely estimates that enable them to progress customer opportunities
• Identify opportunities to optimise costs and improve margins whilst maintaining quality standards
• Keep abreast of material pricing, manufacturing processes and industry trends to ensure estimates remain competitive and accurate

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Sales Estimator, Quotations Coordinator or similar role within manufacturing, engineering or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, laser profiling techniques, material specifications and production timelines
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and blueprints
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external customers
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate estimates under pressure
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Experience with CAD software or production management systems is advantageous
• Knowledge of the manufacturing and logistics sector is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with sales and production departments
