We are seeking a Graduate Sales Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to join a leading manufacturer specialising in steel laser cutting and fabrication.

This is an excellent opportunity for a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with 1-2 years of post-graduate experience who is looking to build their career in technical sales, customer service and manufacturing.

You will play a key role in managing customer enquiries, preparing accurate quotations from engineering drawings, following up opportunities and ensuring confirmed jobs are efficiently progressed into production.

The Role

Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, your responsibilities will include:

About You

We are looking for someone who is technically minded, commercially focused and customer-oriented.

• A Mechanical Engineering degree
• 1-2 years post-graduate experience in an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret workshop/engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A self-driven and proactive approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A friendly, confident and professional manner
• A strong customer focus and desire to deliver great service
• The ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
• An understanding of the importance of quick quotation turnaround times
• The confidence to pick up the phone, follow up customers and convert quotes into orders

Experience within steel fabrication, laser cutting, manufacturing or technical sales would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right candidate.
