Job summary

Cornerstone HR is seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join a growing team in South-East Melbourne. The role involves interpreting drawings, calculating project costs, and preparing accurate, competitive quotations for security fencing, gates, barriers and steel fabrication.

You will review enquiries and specifications, obtain supplier pricing, apply margins and help convert quotations into orders while collaborating with Sales, Production and Installation teams to ensure smooth project

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Understanding of project costs, pricing and profit margins.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Confident using Excel and estimating or job-management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join a growing business specialising in security fencing, gates, barriers, steel fabrication and installation.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded estimator who can interpret drawings, calculate project costs and prepare accurate, competitive and profitable quotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, drawings, plans and specifications.
• Prepare estimates, material take-offs and detailed quotations.
• Calculate material, labour, fabrication, transport and installation costs.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Apply appropriate margins and identify project risks, exclusions and additional costs.
