Job summary

Dahlsens Family Group of Companies is seeking a results-driven team member for the Door Centre’s Sales, Quotes & Orders team. You will prepare competitive pricing, process quotes and orders, and deliver outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration.

You will communicate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to convert quotes into sales and build strong regional relationships while maintaining safety and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a Quoting & Ordering or estimating role.
• Ability to read and understand building plans.
• Strong ambitions to succeed in your role.
• Industry knowledge in building materials and related products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working with people.
• Experience dealing with suppliers, customers & logistics.
• Genuine commitment to safety and customer service.
• Solid understanding of construction processes.
• High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Manual car license (essential).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a results-driven team member to join our Sales, Quotes & Orders team at the Door Centre. In this customer-focused role, you will prepare competitive pricing and process sales, quotes and orders accurately and professionally. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, take a proactive approach and be passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences

Drawing on your experience in building and/or manufacturing, you will communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal teams. Success will be measured by your ability to convert quotes into sales, build strong customer relationships across the region and keep customers’ best interests at the centre of every decision. You will also contribute to a supportive, positive team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Prior experience with doors, door hardware or similar industry is essential. This role is well suited to someone with confidence, strong desire to succeed and those who enjoy working in a team environment.

• Processing of customer orders & quotes by phone and email
• Preparing accurate quotes for customers
• Following up with customers to convert quotes to orders
• Monitoring orders and communicating status of orders to the customers
• Review invoices to ensure accuracy at all times
• Monitoring stock levels to ensure supply and demand needs are met
• High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
• Have a ‘hands on’ approach with a 'can do' attitude
• Undertake regular product training with market leading brands

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Demonstrated experience in a Quoting & Ordering or estimating role
• Ability to read and understand building plans
• Strong ambitions to succeed in your role
• Industry Knowledge and previous experience in the building materials and associated products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an enjoyment of working with people
• Previous experience dealing with suppliers, customers & logistic companies
• Genuine commitment to Safety and Customer service
• Solid understanding of construction process
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Manual Car license (essential)
