Job summary

Whitehaven Coal is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist (Process) to support risk management, event classification, auditing, and coaching across the Blackwater mine operations in Queensland. The role focuses on guiding risk assessment, control measures, and event management for frontline teams.

You will develop and implement safety strategies, monitor performance data, and drive reporting improvements using Isometrix and WHC360.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in safety, preferably in mining.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and Isometrix with a focus on report/dashboards automation.
• Sound knowledge and application of Safety & Health practices.
• Knowledge of safety policies and championing safety values.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk, health and wellbeing strategies and programs.
• Work closely with the CHPP (Coal Handling and Processing Plant).
• Monitor and report S&H performance data with a focus on automated dashboards.
• Support safety measures, metrics, and tools for incident management.
• Develop, monitor and distribute reports from site access systems.
