Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. in Queensland seeks a Safety Specialist to lead safety across operations, strengthen systems and embed risk management into daily work.

You will monitor reporting, provide practical advice and support investigations. This permanent full-time role operates on an 8:6 roster with FIFO options from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires; success will require building trusted relationships and influencing a strong safety

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement)
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline (desirable)
• Current Drivers Licence

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve the Cannington Safety and Health Management System
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of health and safety reporting
• Support investigations, risk assessments and assurance activities
• Provide practical safety advice and communication across operations
