Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Safety Advisor to join a well-established luxury developer-builder on the Gold Coast. Based on a 20+ storey residential tower, you will lead WHS activities across the site and contribute to a secure project pipeline across Southeast Queensland.

You will conduct site inspections, risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, deliver inductions and toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Advisor within the Australian construction industry.
• Experience on commercial, residential or high-rise projects.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and contractor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams, subcontractors and senior management to drive safety outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, incidents investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements.

I am currently seeking a Safety Advisor to join a well-established luxury developer-builder on a project in Gold Coast. With a strong reputation across Southeast Queensland and a secure pipeline of landmark projects.

The Role

You will be based on a luxury 20+ storey residential tower located on the Gold Coast, with approximately two years of construction and ongoing work beyond this project.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors and senior management to drive positive safety outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards and project requirements.

About You

• Proven experience as a Safety Advisor within the Australian construction industry.
• Previous experience on commercial, residential or high-rise construction projects.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and contractor engagement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to the wider project team.
