Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to take technical ownership of a key product domain and lead a small, autonomous squad. This hands-on IC role focuses on architecture, delivery, and security to build scalable SaaS platforms.

You will guide the team through complex problems, drive best practices, and collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver real customer value in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development with technical leadership.
• Proficient in TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Vue.js and Angular front-end expertise.
• Deep knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Extensive AWS experience and cloud-native development.
• Experience in performance tuning and security best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration focused on outcomes.
• Able to lead through influence in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end technical delivery within your squad — from design to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
• Take full ownership of your product area, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Translate ambiguity into actionable technical plans and drive architectural decisions.
• Architect and build enterprise-grade SaaS apps using modern microservices-based architectures.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver customer value.
• Champion engineering excellence via clean architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding.
• Provide technical guidance through peer reviews and design discussions.
• Proactively identify and lead improvements across systems and processes.
