Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own a key product domain and lead a small autonomous squad. You will drive architecture decisions, deliver scalable SaaS systems, and mentor peers in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.

You will work in a hybrid NICE-FLEX setup with strong emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and delivering real customer value across global offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong full-stack expertise with TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Front-end proficiency with Vue.js and Angular.
• Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Extensive AWS and cloud-native development experience.
• Proven ability in performance tuning and applying security best practices.

• Drive end-to-end technical delivery within your squad from design to deployment and optimization.

You’ll operate in a high-growth, autonomous environment where speed, ownership, and technical excellence go hand-in-hand. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for a seasoned engineer who leads through expertise, collaboration, and initiative rather than formal management.

You’ll be trusted to make key architectural decisions, guide delivery, and build systems that are scalable, reliable, and secure — all while fostering a strong engineering culture focused on accountability and results.

• Drive end-to-end technical delivery within your squad — from design to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
• Take full ownership of your product area, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Navigate ambiguity effectively, translating complex problems into actionable technical plans.
• Architect and build robust, enterprise-grade SaaS applications leveraging modern, event-driven, and microservices-based architectures.

• Champion engineering excellence through clean architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship through peer reviews, design discussions, and shared ownership.
• Be proactive and self-driven — identifying and leading improvements across systems and processes.
