Job summary

Natte Yallock Primary School seeks Range 2 classroom teachers to help improve student learning and outcomes in a rural setting. You will contribute to school policies, support high quality instruction, and mentor other teachers to advance teaching practice within the school community.

Applicants should be registered or eligible with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, bring strong content knowledge, collaborative spirit and a commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated high level knowledge of curriculum and ability to adapt literacy and numeracy teaching.
• Ability to plan and implement the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0.
• Strong skill in monitoring and using data to inform teaching and provide feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families and staff.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Undertake other teaching and organisational duties as required by the Principal.
• Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and train student teachers as needed.
