Job summary

Nelson Park School in Geelong, Victoria is seeking Range 2 classroom teachers to support high-quality teaching aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Ability to plan high-impact teaching strategies.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning using data and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
• Undertake other classroom duties as determined by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers.
• Use student data to inform teaching and drive targets for improved outcomes.
