Job summary

Nutrien Bourke is seeking an Account Manager Merchandise Sales to develop and maintain strong customer relationships while advising producers on a wide range of agricultural products and services.

You will report to the Branch Manager and work with customers to identify needs, deliver tailored solutions, and contribute to the Bourke branch’s growth and success through proactive engagement and market insight.

Qualifications

• Experience in rural merchandise sales, agronomy, agricultural retail or a related field.
• Strong relationship management skills
• Some knowledge of broadacre, livestock or mixed farming enterprises
• A proactive approach and strong commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to build trust and credibility within rural communities
• Current driver's licence (essential)
• Agsafe Accreditation or willingness to obtain
• Certificate in Agriculture, Rural Merchandising or related discipline (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Provide expert advice across a broad range of rural merchandise products and services
• Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and expand product utilisation
• Generate new business through proactive customer engagement and relationship building
• Collaborate with specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions for farming clients
• Maintain accurate customer records and account plans
• Monitor market trends, industry developments and competitor activity
• Represent Nutrien Ag Solutions at local industry events, field days and community activities
• Assist with sales forecasting, branch planning and inventory management activities
