Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions Bourke, NSW is seeking a Merchandise Account Manager Sales to build and maintain enduring relationships with producers, offering a wide range of rural merchandise and services. You will understand farming needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive growth for the Bourke branch.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will partner with specialist teams, stay aware of market trends, and contribute to forecasting, planning and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in rural merchandise sales, agronomy, agricultural retail or a related field.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Some knowledge of broadacre, livestock or mixed farming enterprises.
• A proactive approach and strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to build trust and credibility within rural communities.
• Current driver's licence (essential)
• Agsafe Accreditation or willingness to obtain
• Certificate in Agriculture, Rural Merchandising or related discipline (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Provide expert advice across a broad range of rural merchandise products and services.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and expand product utilisation.
• Generate new business through proactive customer engagement and relationship building.
• Collaborate with specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions for farming clients.
• Maintain accurate customer records and account plans.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments and competitor activity.
• Represent Nutrien Ag Solutions at local industry events, field days and community activities.
• Assist with sales forecasting, branch planning and inventory management activities.
