Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions Bourke is seeking a commercially focused Merchandise Manager to lead the merchandise function at our Bourke branch. You will oversee merchandise sales, inventory, pricing and campaigns while mentoring a high-performing team and collaborating with producers across a region known for sheep, wool, cattle, cotton and broadacre farming.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will drive strategic merchandising initiatives, develop key customer relationships and identify

Qualifications

• Previous experience in rural merchandise sales, retail operations or agribusiness.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural products and local farming systems.
• Experience managing inventory, margins, pricing and sales performance.
• Ability to identify commercial opportunities and develop new business.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Experience coaching, supporting or leading operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandise sales campaigns and operational strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and prospects.
• Identify new sales opportunities to grow the branch.
• Manage merchandise inventory, stock control, stocktakes and obsolescence.
• Monitor pricing, margins, stock turns and overall performance.
• Plan and deliver promotions and in-store displays.
• Support budgeting, planning and performance reporting.
• Coach and develop merchandise sales and admin staff.
• Build product knowledge and customer service across the team.
• Support Account Managers to identify opportunities within portfolios.
• Act as second-in-charge and assist wider branch operations.
