Job summary

Elders is seeking a Stock Agent to join the Emerald/Clermont team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be the trusted advisor for livestock clients, supporting on-farm success with guidance on livestock sales, general merchandise, nutrition and animal health solutions.

You will assist with sale preparation, weighing, vaccinating and drenching cattle on farm, while identifying opportunities to cross-sell Elders’ broader range of products and services.

Qualifications

• Experience in livestock handling or sales processing.
• Strong communication, negotiation and client service skills.
• Driver's licence and selling licence (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with livestock clients.
• Coordinate on-farm livestock assessments and prepare sale listings.
• Facilitate livestock sales through auctions, paddock sales, feedlot programs or online platforms.
• Provide market insights and price expectations to clients.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across agency, finance, insurance and retail.
• Maintain knowledge of livestock markets, trends and seasonal factors.
