Job summary

Elders Rural Services Australia Limited is seeking a Stock Agent for our Longreach team. You will be the trusted advisor to livestock clients, supporting on-farm success and guiding sales, nutrition and health solutions.

You will weigh, vaccinate and drench cattle on farm, while identifying cross-selling opportunities across Elders’ product and service range. This is a relationship-driven role focusing on building client connections and growing business in the region.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in livestock handling or related roles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client service skills.
• Ability to assess livestock condition and value with accuracy.
• Current driver’s license and selling license (or willingness to obtain).
• Passion for rural communities and agriculture industry.
• Willingness to provide proof of Q-Fever vaccination or immunity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with livestock clients.
• Coordinate on-farm livestock assessments and prepare sale listings.
• Facilitate livestock sales through auctions, paddock or online platforms.
• Provide market insights and price expectations to clients.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across Elders’ range of products and services.
