Elders Charters Towers invites you to join our permanent, full-time Stock Agent team. You will work with livestock clients across the Charters Towers region, advising on sales, nutrition, and animal health solutions while supporting on-farm success.

In this relationship-driven role you will weigh, vaccinate and drench cattle on farm, prepare sale listings, and help cross-sell Elders' broader range of products. A passion for rural communities and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in livestock handling or sales processing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client service skills.
• Current driver’s licence and selling license (or willingness to obtain one).
• Passion for rural communities and agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, service-based relationships with livestock clients.
• Coordinate and conduct on-farm livestock assessments and prepare sale listings.
• Facilitate livestock sales through auctions, paddock sales, feedlot programs, or online platforms.
• Provide accurate market insights and price expectations to clients.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across agency, finance, insurance, and retail.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of livestock markets, trends, and seasonal factors.
