Job summary

Betashares is seeking graduates for a 24-month technology-driven graduate programme in Sydney. You will rotate across Digital Technology, Operations, ETF Operations and Portfolio Management, gaining hands-on experience in software, data, and digital projects that influence real business outcomes.

You will work with engineers and professionals to understand problems, develop practical solutions and apply analytics to financial markets and investment products.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building a technical solution and writing code in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Foundational understanding of software engineering concepts including version control, testing, debugging, databases and APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
• Curiosity about AI, automation and emerging technology; willingness to use these tools to improve work.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills; willingness to learn and gain knowledge across technology and financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across technology, operations and investment teams to understand Betashares’ products and processes.
• Contribute to real software, data and digital projects that support business priorities.
• Work with engineers and specialists to understand problems and develop practical solutions.
• Design, build, test, debug and document code as part of project delivery.
• Analyze data, systems and processes to identify issues and improve performance.
• Use version control, testing, documentation and code review practices to deliver reliable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, product specialists, operations and other stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• Explain technical concepts and progress to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Take ownership of deliverables and progressively work with greater independence.
• Present learnings and outcomes at the end of each rotation, and document progress throughout the rotation.
