Job summary

Betashares is offering a 24-month graduate programme designed for graduates who want meaningful work at the intersection of technology, investment and financial services. You’ll rotate across Digital Technology & Transformation, Direct Operations, ETF Operations and Portfolio Management, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real projects from day one.

Qualifications

Degree in CS/SE/DS or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience building a technical solution and writing code in at least one general-purpose language.
Fundamental software engineering concepts: version control, testing, debugging, databases, APIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve processes.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience across technology, operations and investment teams.
Contribute to software, data and digital projects that support business priorities and improve operational efficiency.
Work with engineers to understand problems and develop practical solutions.
Design, build, test, debug and document code as part of project delivery.
Analyse data, systems and processes to identify issues and improve performance.
Apply version control, testing, documentation and code review practices.
Collaborate with engineers, product specialists, operations teams and other stakeholders.
Communicate technical concepts, project progress and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Take ownership of assigned deliverables, seek feedback early and progressively work with greater independence.
Document progress, key decisions and outcomes throughout each rotation.
Present key learnings, project outcomes and recommendations at the conclusion of each rotation.
