Betashares is launching its 2027 Graduate Programme designed for graduates to do meaningful work at the intersection of technology, investment and financial services. Qualifications

• Degree in CS/engineering/related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience building a technical solution and writing code.
• Foundational understanding of software engineering concepts incl. version control, testing, databases and APIs.
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Curiosity about AI, automation and emerging technology.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across technology, operations and investment teams.
• Contribute to real software, data and digital projects that support business priorities and improve how we work.
• Work with experienced engineers to understand problems, assess options and develop practical solutions.
• Design, build, test, debug and document code as part of project delivery, using appropriate engineering practices and tools.
• Analyse data, systems and processes to identify issues, improve performance and contribute to automation or more efficient ways of working.
• Use version control, testing, documentation and code review practices to produce reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, product specialists, operations teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver shared outcomes.
• Explain technical concepts, project progress and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables, seek feedback early and progressively work with greater independence.
• Present key learnings, project outcomes and recommendations at the conclusion of each rotation, reflecting on your development and next areas of focus.
• Throughout the rotation, document progress and key decisions, track outcomes and present the work, results and learnings at the conclusion.
