Job summary

Department of Health Tasmania requires a Band 5 Team Leader to oversee the Roster Support Unit across North West Hospitals, guiding rostering, staffing administration, and data integrity in ProAct with autonomy under the Nurse Unit Manager and Nursing Director Integrated Operations.

You will lead rostering advisory, staff development, and process improvements, building strong relationships with internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• Knowledge/experience in rostering/productivity and HR/Payroll information systems.
• Well-developed computer skills with database applications and staff training ability.
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills; proven supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Roster Support Unit and staffing admin at two hospital sites.
• Advise on rostering, staffing utilisation, and industrial awards/agreements.
• Oversee reporting, investigate rostering issues, train staff, and drive process improvements.
• Contribute to system enhancements and wider projects in ProAct.
