Job summary

Sora Rooftop Bar in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced 2IC / Assistant Venue Manager to support the Venue Manager and lead day-to-day operations of a premium rooftop venue.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong hospitality experience, staff management skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining exceptional customer service during high-volume services, events and functions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a 2IC or assistant manager role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience in busy bar/restaurant settings.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability for evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervising floor and bar staff during service.
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures.
• Coordinating with kitchen, security and management teams.
• Managing staff breaks and service flow.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service.
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints.
• Overseeing RSA compliance and venue safety.
• Supporting events and large group bookings.
• Stock control and wastage monitoring.
• Staff training and onboarding.
